Nissan is set to launch the updated Magnite in India on October 4, 2024. The SUV will likely receive various cosmetic and feature upgrades while retaining its engine options.
Nissan is gearing up to launch the facelifted Magnite in India on October 4, 2024. In its new-generation avatar, the subcompact SUV Magnite will likely include visual upgrades such as revised headlamps, reworked bumpers, and new colour options. It will sport a hexagonal mesh grille (possibly larger), upgraded taillights with LED lighting elements, and fresh alloy wheels, according to official teasers. However, the overall silhouette will be the same.
Inside, the compact SUV is expected to have premium materials and an upgraded infotainment system featuring a larger touchscreen. While many official specifics remain unknown, we expect Nissan to incorporate new and highly anticipated features in the vehicle to keep pace with the increasing competition. Here are the top five features that the new Nissan Magnite is anticipated to receive over its predecessor.

Auto-dimming IRVM
There is a manual day/night IRVM on the current model. However, following the update, we may anticipate Nissan to equip its SUV with an auto-dimming IRVM (internal rearview mirror), a feature that many mass-market vehicles already have.
Larger Touchscreen, and Driver's Display
The current Nissan subcompact SUV features an infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen, while its Geza edition comes with a larger 9-inch unit. Although it is not confirmed, customers can expect the updated Magnite to also have the bigger 9-inch screen as standard in higher-spec models.
The 7-inch semi-digital driver's display on the existing model is also anticipated to be replaced with a larger one.
Ventilated Front Seats
Another feature that the new Magnite is likely to include is ventilated seats. Interestingly, some of the SUV's rivals, such as the Hyundai Venue, and the Tata Nexon, already have this feature.
Six Airbags (Standard)
The new Magnite could improve its safety quotient by adding 6 airbags as standard. The current-spec model has a dual airbag arrangement.
Sunroof
One of the most popular amenities that current buyers seek is a sunroof. Therefore, we anticipate Nissan to provide the new Magnite with a single-pane sunroof. This feature is offered by many Magnite competitors.

Nissan Magnite Facelift: Powertrain
For now, there is confirmation, but the updated SUV is speculated to pack the same 1.0-litre turbocharged and 1.0-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engines. The former churns out 100bhp and 160Nm (152Nm in CVT), while the latter generates 72bhp and 96Nm. The transmission duties are handled by either a five-speed manual or an AMT.
