New Range Rover Velar Facelift Launched at Rs 94.30 Lakh in India
The new Range Rover Velar has been officially launched by Land Rover in India. The most expensive HSE trim of the updated SUV costs Rs 94.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The all-new Velar receives a few minor visual changes in the form of revised rear bumpers, revamped tail lights, and more.
The all-new Range Rover Velar facelift has been launched in the country by JLR India. This premium SUV is only offered in one trim and is priced at Rs 94.30 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Customers have the option of either a four-cylinder turbo-petrol or diesel engine. Bookings for the revamped Velar have been underway since July 25 and now, the deliveries for the same have also commenced. Over 750 units have already been registered on the order books and consequently, the waiting period for the car currently goes up to more than a year. Commenting on the launch, Rajan Amba, Managing Director, JLR India, remarked, “The New Range Rover Velar is a forward-thinking sanctuary with curated and refined elements that make it both intriguing and desirable. It has been carefully crafted for the transforming tastes of our discerning clients and is all set to elevate the bar for luxury travel in India.”

2024 Range Rover Velar Facelift: Styling Details
The Range Rover Velar is now more streamlined than it was previously thanks to the recent changes. JLR has updated the vehicle's grille, daytime running lights, Pixel LED headlights, front and back bumpers, alloy wheels, and taillamps. Moreover, along with Fuji White and Santorini Black, there are now two new colour schemes available: Premium Metallic Varesine Grey and Metallic Varesine Blue.
2024 Range Rover Velar Facelift: Interior Features
The interior of the updated Range Rover Velar features a modern, clean design. It now has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on JLR's 11.4-inch Pivi Pro central information hub. Windsor leather trim is used throughout the cabin and is available in the Caraway/Ebony or Deep Garnet/Ebony themes. For the India-spec model, the manufacturer offers a host of cutting-edge features such as a wireless charging pad, an 11-speaker, 400-watt Meridian sound system, active road noise cancellation, an air purifier plus, four-zone temperature control, Terrain Response 2 system, over-the-air software updates, a fixed panoramic sunroof, 20-way powered front seats with massage and heating/ventilation functions, electronic air suspension, driver-seat memory settings, powered rear seats, powered boot opening, onboard Amazon Alexa assistant, multicoloured ambient lighting, metal pedals, and a 360-degree camera.
2024 Range Rover Velar Facelift: Engine Specs
Coming to the mechanical details of the model, two 2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines are available. A Velar equipped with six cylinders or hybrid engines is not yet available for our domestic market. As opposed to the diesel engine's maximum output of 201bhp and 420Nm, the petrol unit churns out 296bhp of maximum power and 365Nm of peak torque. Both engines are connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission that drives the car's four wheels. The diesel engine has a claimed 0-100km/h acceleration time of 8.3 seconds as well as a stated top speed of 210km/h. The petrol version, on the other hand, claims to reach a high speed of 217km/h.

2024 Range Rover Velar Facelift: Competition Check
The New Range Rover, the Range Rover Sport, the New Range Rover Velar, and the Range Rover Evoque are the products that the automaker currently offers in India. In terms of market competition, the new Velar continues to rival the likes of the BMW X5, the Audi Q7, the Mercedes-Benz GLE, and the Volvo XC90.
