New Audi Q5 Sportback Coupe SUV Revealed Globally with 362bhp Mild-hybrid V6, Triple Screens and More
The new Audi SQ5 Sportback gets 18-inch light alloy wheels, a matte black diffuser, and a mild-hybrid 3.0-litre turbo-petrol V6 with standard Quattro.
Audi has unveiled the new-generation Q5 Sportback coupe-SUV, which has a sloping roofline merging with a distinct-looking rear. The rear features connected LED taillamps with second-generation digital OLED technology, as well as a prominent spoiler and a silver trim piece. While the car's profile is 'sleeker compared to its predecessor', there is now a redesigned 'Singleframe' grille ahead. For those seeking more pizzazz, Audi has the performance-oriented SQ5 Sportback with the radiator grille and front inlays in a Scandium Gray finish. These, along with a contrasting bottom line in Tambora Gray, matte black diffuser, and 18-inch light alloys, form part of the exterior advanced package. Speaking of, the Q5 Sportback comes in two configurations: exterior advanced and S line.

New Audi Q5 Sportback: Underpinnings, Powertrain
Sitting on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) architecture that underpins the normal Q5, the new-generation Q5 Sportback comes with a 24bhp, 48V MHEV plus electrical system supporting the internal combustion engine while increasing performance. Three engine options with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission are available – a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol with front-wheel or optional Quattro all-wheel drive (AWD); a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel with standard Quattro Quattro AWD; and a mild-hybrid 3.0-litre turbo-petrol V6 with 362bhp and 550Nm of peak torque. The last one gets Quattro AWD as standard and will find its home in the SQ5 Sportback. Audi will add plug-in hybrid powertrains at a later date. Also present are new steel springs and an optional air suspension system.
New Audi Q5 Sportback: Features
Inside, Audi has equipped the higher-spec variants of the Q5 Sportback with a triple-screen setup, consisting of a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.9-inch display for the front passenger. Focusing on sustainability, materials like Cascade upholstery and Dinamica microfiber are primarily made from recycled polyester.
The new Q5 Sportback can store up to 515 litres of luggage and up to 1,415 litres when the rear seats are folded down. The SQ5 Sportback boasts up to 470 litres of space behind the seats and up to 1,388 litres with it folded down.

The updated Q5 Sportback will go on sale next year in Europe. Audi does not sell the Q5 Sportback in India but offers the previous-generation Q5 starting at Rs 65.51 lakh (ex-showroom).
