MG Windsor EV India Launch Tomorrow; Here's What to Expect
The new Windsor EV is expected to borrow several design cues from its donor model, the Wuling Cloud EV. It will compete with the Mahindra XUV400, the MG ZS EV, and the Tata Nexon EV.
JSW MG Motor is all set to introduce the Windsor EV, its first-ever Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV), in India tomorrow, September 11, 2024. Windsor EV: Exterior and Interior
The new MG car will be similar to its donor model in appearance, with features like connected LED DRLs and LED headlights, according to the official teaser. However, to differentiate itself, the EV will sport an MG logo over the front bumper and an inscription from Morris Garages underneath the LED DRL strip. The primary feature on the sides will be the 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, similar to the Cloud EV. At the back, MG's third EV will get a linked LED taillight arrangement and a Windsor badging.
Inside, the EV is confirmed to come loaded with features such as a panoramic glass roof, 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rear seats with a 135-degree recline function, and a 3-passenger rear seat with 3-point seat belts and adjustable headrests. Note that the panoramic glass roof is missing on the global-spec Wuling Cloud EV, on which the Windsor, is based. Other expected bits include a two-spoke steering wheel, horizontally-positioned AC vents, and black upholstery.
MG Windsor: Safety
Safety-wise, the Windsor EV is speculated to come with an electronic parking brake, six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and ADAS with functions like Intelligent High Beam Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
