MG Windsor EV Clocks 15,176 Bookings in A Single Day
Under the Baas program, the MG Windsor EV is priced from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 11.99 lakh, with Rs 3.5 per km.
MG Motor India opened bookings for the MG Windsor EV only yesterday (October 3), and the EV has already garnered over 15,000 (15,176 units, to be precise) bookings. This indicates a growing customer demand for electric four-wheelers as well as a shift toward electric mobility, according to the statement issued by MG. Deliveries of the Windsor EV will commence on October 12, 2024. India's first Intelligent CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle), the Windsor EV, is offered in three variants – Excite, Essence, and Exclusive – and gets an IP67-rated 38kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with a 332-kilometre claimed range.
There is a permanent magnet synchronous motor that draws power from the battery, which can be charged in 55 minutes using a DC fast charger that has a capacity of up to 45kW. The motor develops 134bhp and 220Nm of peak torque. Under BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service), the MG Windsor EV is priced from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 11.99 lakh, with Rs 3.5 per km. The car as a whole can be had at a starting price of Rs 13.50 lakh. The prices are ex-showroom.
