Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV to Mark India Debut on September 15
The EQE SUV, Mercedes' third EV following the EQB SUV and the EQS sedan, will make its official debut in India on September 15. The popular product from the German luxury manufacturer is developed on the company's EVA (electric vehicle architecture) platform.

The well-known product from the German luxury carmaker is built on the company's EVA (electric vehicle architecture) framework and, internationally, it shares a platform with the EQE sedan. By March 2024, Mercedes hopes to introduce four new electric vehicles in India. The EQS SUV will probably come next after the EQE SUV, which is the first to debut here. It is unknown whether Mercedes will import the EQE SUV into India or develop it domestically. For those who are unaware, while the EQS 580 is built domestically, the EQS 53 4Matic and EQB SUVs are imported as CBU. Here's all that you can expect from the upcoming EQE SUV.

Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV: Overall Appearance and Dimensions
The Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV sits on the manufacturer's EVA (electric vehicle architecture) platform and follows the EQS SUV. It is significant to note that the EQE SUV is slightly smaller than its sedan version, with a 3,030mm wheelbase, 4,863mm total length, 1,940mm width, and 1,686mm height. Although it has a more pronouncedly sloped roofline and an angled rear profile, its design is comparable to that of the larger EQS SUV. The Panamerican grille, the bumpers, and the unique wheel designs are just a few of the distinguishing styling characteristics that define AMG vehicles.
Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV: Battery and Performance
A 90.6kWh battery that supports up to 170kW of DC fast charging speeds powers every variant of the EQE SUV, which is available in a variety of configurations and trim levels across different markets. The car's sole electric motor, which is located on the rear axle, firstly, makes 288bhp and 565Nm of torque. The dual-motor arrangement in the EQE 350 4Matic, on the other hand, increases torque to 765Nm while limiting the range to about 560-kilometre. The EQE 500 4Matic, which puts out 402bhp and a remarkable 858Nm of peak torque, is a more capable choice.
The Mercedes-AMG SUV is available in two trim versions, both of which have a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system: EQE 43 4Matic as well as EQE 53 4Matic+. The former has a certified range of up to 488-kilometre and produces 469bhp and 858Nm. It states that it can reach a top speed of 210km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 4.3 seconds. The highest-spec model is the EQE 53 4Matic+, which has 616bhp and 950Nm of torque. Furthermore, the Dynamic Plus package is added, bringing the power up to 678bhp and 1,000Nm. With the Dynamic Plus option, it can reach a top speed of 240km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in under 3.5 seconds.

Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV: Interior Features and Rivals
In addition to being stylish, the EQE SUV includes cutting-edge technology. It boasts an extensive feature list including a 12.8-inch infotainment unit, Mercedes-Benz's MBUX software, and the option of voice control (speech commands). The EQE SUV's cabin is fairly roomy inside, with considerable headroom and legroom. Only two rows of seating are available in this five-seater model, and a third is not an option. This all-electric model is equipped with ambient lighting strips all over the interiors, a Burmester audio system, a head-up display, and a 12.3-inch digital display cluster, among other features.
Although Mercedes has not yet provided information on the model designed specifically for our home market, we anticipate the company will initially debut the EQE 350 4Matic in India, however, the remainder of the variants might follow. When it arrives in India, the Mercedes EQE will compete against vehicles like the BMW iX and the Audi Q8 e-tron SUV.
