Mahindra XEV 9e, BE 6e Teased Again Ahead of November 26 Debut, Preview Production-spec Design
The Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6e electric SUVs are based on the in-house INGLO architecture, which supports 60kWh and 80kWh battery packs, fast charging capabilities of up to 175kW, and a combined range of up to 500 kilometres.
Mahindra is gearing up to unveil its born-electric SUVs – the XEV 9e and the BE 6e – at its upcoming event on November 26 in Chennai. And as the latest teaser video has shown, the electric SUVs riding on Mahindra's new INGLO architecture and fitted with aggressively styled bumpers have a futuristic front-end design, similar to the concepts they are based on. The XEV 9e's vertically stacked headlamps are mounted below a connected LED lightbar, while the BE 6e gets horizontally oriented headlamps outlined by C-shaped Daytime Running Lamps. Both EVs get a closed-off grille, aero alloy wheels (with flared wheel arches), and bold character lines. The BE 6e features a glowing BE logo as the name implies, while the XEV 9e wears an illuminated infinity logo. Wheels are expected to be 18-inch units. The rear end of the BE 6e is not visible, but we surmise that the vehicle will come with connected LED taillamps, just like the XEV 9e.
According to the previous teaser, the Mahindra XEV 9e will get a triple-screen setup, a touch-based control panel, and a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel with a logo. Expect the vehicle to come with an electric parking brake, powered front seats, and drive modes. Also, there will likely be six airbags (as standard), adaptive cruise control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and lane-keep assist.

As for the BE 6e, Mahindra will offer a cockpit-like, driver-focused cabin with twin integrated displays, a large centre console, and a two-spoke steering with a BE logo. The vehicle is also teased to have a panoramic glass roof, electrically adjustable front seats, pillar-mounted headrests, and drive modes.
Mahindra XEV 9e, BE 6e: Powertrain
Mahindra has yet to reveal the battery and powertrain details; however, it is not unknown that Mahindra's in-house INGLO skateboard platform supports 60kWh and 80kWh battery packs, fast charging capabilities of up to 175kW, and a combined range of up to 500 kilometres. Plus, the architecture is suitable for both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations.

We expect the Mahindra XEV 9e coupe SUV to be available in a single RWD setup, while the BE 6e could be offered in both RWD and AWD guises. The former will go against the upcoming Tata Harrier EV that Mahindra plans to launch in the current financial year. Positioned above the XUV400 EV, the latter will rival the Tata Curvv EV, MG Windsor EV, and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX.
