Locally Assembled Range Rover Sport SUV Deliveries Begin, Priced at Rs 1.40 Crore
JLR India has begun deliveries of the locally assembled Range Rover Sport SUV. The SUV is available in a single Dynamic SE variant priced at Rs 1.40 crore (ex-showroom).
JLR India has begun deliveries of the locally assembled Range Rover Sport SUV. This follows the company's announcement to manufacture the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport SUVs in India, making India the first country outside of the UK to roll out the two SUVs. JLR already assembles the Velar, Evoque, Jaguar F-Pace, and Discovery Sport at its Pune facility, which has a production capacity of 10,000 units per year.
The Range Rover Sport's price with local assembly is Rs 1.40 crore (ex-showroom), the same for both the petrol and diesel versions. The locally assembled Range Rover Sport gets two engine options: the 3.0-litre petrol Dynamic SE, which produces 394bhp and 550Nm, and the 3.0-litre diesel Dynamic SE, which develops 346bhp and 700Nm. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox.

Range Rover Sport: Features
Features-wise, the locally manufactured Range Rover Sport offers soft-close doors, a 13.1-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment system, an 11.4-inch entertainment display for rear-seat occupants, four-zone automatic climate control, a powered tailgate, a Meridian 3D surround sound system, heated & ventilated front seats, an air purifier, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, and Terrain Response 2 off-road modes.

The Range Rover Sport is built on the MLA-Flex platform, which provides next-level performance and handling and better efficiency. In terms of market competition, it faces other high-end SUVs such as the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, Porsche Cayenne, and BMW X7.
