Ahead of its highly anticipated debut at the 2024 LA Auto Show, Hyundai has teased the interior of its upcoming Ioniq 9 electric SUV. Designed as a premium, three-row EV, the Ioniq 9 builds on the brand’s advanced E-GMP platform, featuring a flat floor for enhanced cabin space and flexibility. The interior teaser showcases a lounge-inspired design blending organic, nature-themed aesthetics with cutting-edge technology for a luxurious, serene environment. Hyundai promises advanced connectivity features, sleek LED lighting, and thoughtful design elements like curved panels and elliptical motifs. Expected to rival the Kia EV9 in size and functionality, the Ioniq 9 is poised to set new benchmarks in the electric SUV segment with its spacious layout and sustainable innovation.

Hyundai Ioniq 9 Interior
The latest teaser images offer insights into the Ioniq 9's design and features. Highlighted elements comprise the three-row seating arrangement, accompanied by visible controls for adjusting the front passenger seat. Other details include Bose audio speakers, a uniquely crafted door pocket, and the rear roofline's gentle slope.
According to the South Korean automaker, the Ioniq 9’s interior is crafted to elevate the experience of comfort, functionality, and entertainment, while also prioritising safety. Leveraging Hyundai’s advanced Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the SUV features a flat floor throughout its three-row cabin, ensuring maximum space utilisation and flexibility. As a flagship electric SUV, the Ioniq 9 accommodates seven passengers and draws inspiration from the 2021 Seven concept.
This design supports 800-volt charging technology, enabling faster recharging capabilities. Hyundai emphasises "Aerosthetic" design language, which merges sleek aerodynamics with a focus on passenger relaxation, enhanced by smooth, curved elements such as door trims and handles.
Hyundai Ioniq 9: Expected Powertrain Setup
Although specific details about its battery and motors remain undisclosed, it is anticipated that powertrain components from the Kia EV9 will be inherited.
The model is expected to offer both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations, with driving ranges spanning from 370 km in the standard version to 489 km in extended-range trims. In terms of power output, it provides 201bhp in the base Light Long Range variant and peaks at 379bhp in dual-motor setups, delivering versatility for both efficiency-focused and performance-oriented users.

Since the Hyundai Ioniq 9 is slated for an international launch next year, the model will likely be introduced in the local market by late 2025 or early 2026.
