2024 Mahindra XUV700 Electric SUV Spied Testing in India, Likely to Launch Next Year

The Mahindra XUV.e8 electric SUV has just been sighted testing. Based on the company's INGLO EV platform, the XUV.e8 will debut in the latter half of 2024. Mahindra displayed five electric vehicles at the M.A.D.E. headquarters in the United Kingdom last year. Mahindra's Satin Copper paint job on this XUV700 e-test mule is a signature look for its XUV-based electric vehicles. The first prototype of the XUV.e8, which debuted in the UK last year, also included an accent colour of a similar hue. Sadly, just a single picture shows the electric SUV from the side. The bodyshell is the same as the ICE-powered XUV700, but the exterior will have a blanked-out front grille and new trim. Changes like this are already seen on the XUV300 and XUV400.

Instead of the two screens seen in the XUV700, the new model will have three. The prototype version of XUV.e8 introduced this three-screen layout. Instrumentation for the driver will be shown on one of these screens. The middle one will be for the audio system, and the front seat passenger will use the third one.
Mahindra is partnering with Volkswagen to get electric motors, battery packs, and integrated cells. The MEB platform is compatible with electric motors like VW's patented APP310 PMDC. The 310 indicates a maximum torque of 310Nm. The APP310 motor is lightweight at just 90kg and comes with a single gear ratio. Mahindra has said that LFP cells on the INGLO platform would most likely be prismatic cells.
