Jeep Wrangler Facelift: Styling Cues
Compared to its predecessor, the redesigned Jeep Wrangler has a more rugged appearance thanks to a revised front end and an elevated ride height. While the circular headlamps give the facelifted Wrangler a retro-modern touch, its sleeker iconic seven-slat grille, complete with black accents, adds to its modern look. The redesigned Wrangler is available in India in both hard and soft-top versions along with a Gorilla glass windshield. The India-spec model also gets the options of 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Jeep Wrangler Facelift: Powertrain Options
Mechanically, the outgoing version's 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine powers the new Wrangler as well. This unit belts out 267bhp of maximum power and 400Nm of peak torque. With Jeep's standard Selec-Trac full-time AWD technology, power is transferred to all four wheels using an eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission and a low-range transfer case. Multiple driving modes are available as well. But unlike other international markets, the Indian-spec version does not currently offer hybrid or fully electric variant options.
Jeep Wrangler Facelift: Interior and Safety Features
Inside, the Wrangler retains its all-black theme. The inclusion of a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system is one of the key interior highlights. The cabin also houses new switchgear and HVAC controls. Other prominent features are voice recognition, wireless phone charging, 12-way powered front seats, a digital driver's display, and ADAS technologies like adaptive cruise control and forward collision avoidance. Meanwhile, the safety suite comprises six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), and a reverse parking camera with a park assist system. Jeep's "U Connect" further enhances the range of connected car tech.
