2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV Launched in India at Rs 1.39 Crore
The EQE luxury SUV, Mercedes-Benz's newest electric vehicle, is now available in India at an introductory price of Rs 1.39 crore (ex-showroom). After the EQB SUV and the EQS flagship electric sedan, it is the brand's third electric vehicle in its India lineup.
Mercedes-Benz has finally launched the much-awaited EQE electric SUV for the Indian market. There is only one top-of-the-line 500 4Matic trim available for the all-electric vehicle in the country, priced at Rs 1.39 crore (ex-showroom). In the premium German automaker's Indian portfolio, this electric SUV joins the currently on-sale EQS and EQB electric vehicles. Based on the company's EVA (electric vehicle architecture) platform, it also has a global sedan sibling in the form of the EQE sedan. The SUV gets a 10-year or 2.5-lakh-kilometre warranty on the battery pack and will arrive via the CBU route. According to the manufacturer, the EV needs to be serviced once every two years. The EQS SUV will probably come next after the EQE, which is the first to arrive here.

2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE: Styling Cues and Dimensions
Following the EQS, the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV is built on the company's EVA (electric vehicle architecture) platform. With a 3,030mm wheelbase, 1,940mm width, and 1,686mm height, the EQE is noticeably smaller than the sedan version. The EQE is 4,863mm long, which makes it longer than a GLC. The brand-new offering from Mercedes-Benz shares many similarities with its sedan counterpart as well as taking style influences from it. An LED light strip connects the digital LED headlights, and small three-pointed stars are incorporated into the black panel that serves as the grille's replacement. The EQE has 20-inch alloy wheels with aerodynamic design optimisation and a full-width LED taillight.
2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE: Battery and Range Details
The dual motor, all-wheel drive configuration, and off-road package are standard on the Mercedes EQE SUV. It is equipped with a 90.56kWh battery that can support up to 170kW of DC fast charging. The maximum power and torque output of the model stands at 402bhp and 858Nm. It further has a claimed WLTP range of 550-kilometre. The SUV boasts a top speed of 210km/h and a stated 0-100km/h acceleration time of 4.9 seconds.
2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE: Interior and Safety Features
The EQE SUV is not just stylish but also equipped with cutting-edge technology. The new portrait-oriented screen with the floating digital console behind the steering wheel, inspired by the S-Class, is installed in the Mercedes-Benz EQE electric SUV's interior. A third layout option, known as Hyperscreen, combines three separate screens onto a single 56-inch wide panel. These displays run on the most recent version of MBUX OS, which adds a variety of connectivity features like voice control and remote start and stop, OTA updates, and more. Large dual screens are the most stunning aspect of this 5-seater model's roomy interior.
Also present are haptic controls on the steering wheel. A 15-speaker Burmester surround sound system will be one of the interior's other highlights, as will be the 8-step adjustable massage system and amenities like a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, HEPA air filter, wireless charging, adapted Airmatic suspension system, Mercedes Me connected car tech, 64-colour ambient interior lighting, as well as multi-zone climate control.
In addition to the standard safety features like multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, ABS, and EBD, the newly launched model will also have a variety of driving assistance features such as autonomous emergency braking, even parking assist, lane keep assist, and blind spot monitoring

Now that the new EQE SUV has arrived on our shores at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.39 crore, it is going to rival a range of popular models such as the Audi Q8 e-tron, the Jaguar i-Pace, and the BMW iX.
