TVS Radeon: Powertrain, Fuel Efficiency
The TVS Radeon uses the same 109.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that does duty in the Star City. The engine develops 8.08bhp at 7,350rpm and 8.7Nm of peak torque at 4,500rpm and comes paired with a four-speed gearbox. Thanks to the company's EcoThrust Fuel-Injection (ET-Fi) technology, the claimed fuel efficiency is 69.3km/l. The fuel tank capacity is rated for 10 litres.
TVS Radeon: Hardware
Featuring a single-cradle tubular frame, the TVS Radeon gets telescopic forks and preload-adjustable shock absorbers for suspension. The Base Edition and Digi Drum variants of the commuter bike employ a 130mm drum brake at the front and a 110mm drum brake at the rear, while the top-end Digi Disc version sports a 240mm disc at the front. The 110mm drum brake at the rear remains the same for the latter as well.
Both versions come with 'Synchronised Braking Technology' – TVS speak for a combined braking system (CBS). There’s also a side-stand indicator that comes with a beeper. The TVS Radeon rolls on 18-inch, five-spoke, alloy wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres.
