The Triumph Tiger 1200 will soon arrive in the country. And ahead of its official price announcement, Triumph India has already started accepting bookings for the new flagship ADV.
Triumph India has commenced bookings for the new Tiger 1200. The launch of the all-new adventure motorcycle is likely to be held in the second half of January 2022. The new Triumph Tiger will be sold in multiple variants, and the prices are likely to start from Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom). Its pricing will position the new Triumph Tiger 1200 alongside the Ducati Multistrada V4, Harley-Davidson Pan-America 1250, and BMW R 1250 GS.
This iteration of the Tiger 1200 gets an all-new chassis, which is lighter than before. The engine is all-new as well, which produces substantially more power. The swingarm has been redesigned as well, and the unit now sports a three-link arrangement, along with new suspension geometry and upgraded braking hardware.
The engine is a new 1,160cc in-line-three, which is good enough for 148bhp at 9,000rpm and 130Nm at 7,000rpm. The gearbox here is a six-speed unit, which features a slipper clutch and a two-way quick-shifter. All the power is sent to the rear wheel via a shaft drive.
The electronics on board include IMU-based rider aids, such as traction control, cornering ABS, multiple rider modes, and power delivery settings. Some variants also feature hill-hold.
The new Triumph Tiger 1200 will also have a host of optional accessories on offer, which will further enhance its touring capabilities.
