Revolt RV400 Launched in New Eclipse Red Colour in India, Priced at Rs 1.19 Lakh

Revolt Motors, the Haryana-based electric bike start-up, has introduced the RV400 in a new colour scheme called Eclipse Red. When the electric motorcycle was launched in August 2019, it was offered in two colour options – Rebel Red and Cosmic Black. Subsequently, it received additional versions: Mist Grey, Stealth Black Limited Edition, and India Blue Cricket Special Edition.

The Eclipse Red-coloured Revolt RV400 – the newest addition to the model lineup – carries a sticker price of Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). From the aesthetics point of view, the Revolt RV400 Eclipse Red appears shiny and clear due to its glossy red paint finish, complemented by its blacked-out underbody and wheels. The swingarm and front forks continue to feature the aluminium finish and brushed silver finish, respectively. The Eclipse Red represents the third colour variant Revolt introduced this year, after the India Blue Cricket Special Edition (Rs 1.60 lakh, ex-showroom) and the Stealth Black Limited Edition (Rs. 1.18 lakh, ex-showroom).
Revolt RV400 Eclipse Red: Battery, Range, Top Speed
Other than the cosmetic changes, the Revolt RV400 Eclipse Red remains unaltered. In terms of powertrain, the bike is equipped with a 3.2kWh lithium-ion battery that is housed within the tank. Powering the e-motorcycle is a 3kW mid-drive motor sitting underneath the battery pack, producing 170Nm of peak torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a sprocket belt drive
According to Revolt, the RV400 has a range of 150km (ARAI certified) in Eco mode. The bike can reach a maximum speed of 85km/h. Charging time is 4.5 hours, using a 15-ampere socket. The RV400 weighs 108 kilograms.
Revolt RV400 Eclipse Red: Features
Touted as India's first AI-enabled electric motorcycle, the Revolt RV400 is aimed at youngsters and college-goers. In terms of features, the bike gets a digital instrument cluster, a start-stop button, and a USB phone charger. Along with these, the bike comes with modern niceties as well, such as Bluetooth connectivity for start/stop function, on-board diagnostics, geofencing for anti-theft, over-the-air software updates, and three riding modes – Eco, Normal and Sport.

The Revolt RV400 Eclipse Red carries a price tag of Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs 1,000 more than the Stealth Black edition. In the Indian market, the RV400 is Revolt Motors' answer to the likes of the Tork Kratos R, the Oben Rorr, and the Hop OXO.
