Decked in a striking paint job featuring the brand's iconic colour scheme, the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 40th Anniversary Edition has been unveiled to celebrate the ZX series' 40 years in the auto industry. The unique livery combines classic Kawasaki hues - lime green, pearl crystal white, and blue.
Kawasaki, the renowned bike manufacturer, has unveiled the 40th Anniversary Edition, a new avatar for the 2024 Ninja ZX-10R. As its name suggests, the new limited edition model has been introduced to celebrate its 40 years. Moreover, it is decked out in the company's signature colours, including "Lime Green." The bike's unique edition livery combines classic Kawasaki hues including lime green, pearl crystal white, and blue, which together give the vehicle a nostalgic feel reminiscent of motorcycles from the 1980s. The newly introduced trim is already available in the US market with a price tag of USD 19,149. For those unaware, another Japanese auto giant, Yamaha also rolled out the XSR900 GP, a neo-retro sports bike, that pays homage to the company's GP bikes from the 1980s and 90s. Joining Yamaha's XSR sports heritage line, the new XSR900 GP features a modern engine and chassis technology along with retro style influences. Decked in the commemorative paint job featuring the brand's signature colour scheme, the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 40th Anniversary Edition pays homage to its renowned ZX series. Blue, pearl crystal white, and lime green are the colours that are layered over it. The Ninja ZX-10R looks quite stylish with this new visual makeover. Meanwhile, apart from the updated hues, the model has not undergone any significant overhaul. Therefore, it retains the same design cues, engine specs, hardware components, and feature set.

On the mechanical front, the 998cc inline four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which churns out 114.9Nm of maximum torque along with 200.2bhp of peak power, remains the mainstay of power for the bike. For handling the transmission duties, this unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox. It further gets a quick shifter.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 40th Anniversary Edition: Feature Set and Hardware Components
In terms of features, the model comprises cruise control, ABS, power modes, cornering management function, engine brake control, and launch control, among other performance and rider aids. Besides these amenities, it also offers smartphone connectivity and LED lighting.
As for the hardware, the ZX-10R features a rear suspension system consisting of a gas-charged mono shock and a 43mm USD balance-free fork with adjustable rebound and compression damping and spring preload customisation. When it comes to braking, the ZX-10R is still outfitted with two 330mm front discs and one 220mm rear disc in addition to an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). With 190/55 rear tyres and 120/70 front tyres, the anniversary trim of the Ninja ZX-10R is equipped with 17-inch wheels.

With taxes excluded, the 40th Anniversary Edition of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R carries a price tag of USD 19,149 in the US market. That is almost equal to Rs 15.93 lakh when converted to INR. For comparison, the ex-showroom pricing of the base model in the domestic market stands at Rs 16.47 lakh.
