Hero Splendor Plus Xtec with Front Disc Brake Launched at Rs 83,461 in India
Hero's Splendor Plus Xtec with a front disc brake costs roughly Rs 3,500 more than the drum brake variant (Rs 79,911, ex-showroom).
Hero MotoCorp has introduced an update for the Splendor Plus Xtec. Launched at Rs 83,461 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the updated Hero Splendor Plus Xtec gets a disc brake at the front, while the rear fascia still features a drum brake. This makes it around Rs 3,500 more expensive than the drum brake variant (Rs 79,911, ex-showroom). Other than that, the bike remains the same.
The updated Hero Splendor Plus Xtec gets a conventional braking setup, comprising telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks. The bike remains unaltered in terms of design as well. It continues to feature a rectangular headlamp with an LED daytime running lamp and black alloy wheels, among other things. The motorcycle comes in the following three colour options: Red Black, Black Sparking Blue, and Black Tornado Grey.

Powering the refreshed Hero Splendor Plus Xtec is a 97.2cc single-cylinder engine mated to a four-speed gearbox and Hero’s i3s auto start/stop tech. The engine is tuned to churn out 7.09bhp and 8.05Nm of peak torque. Features-wise, the vehicle is equipped with a digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and a USB charging port.
The Hero Splendor Plus XTEC starts at Rs 79,911 and goes up to Rs 83,461 (ex-showroom, Delhi). In terms of market competition, the bike takes on the likes of the Bajaj Platina and the TVS Radeon.
Hero Destini 125 to Arrive with an Update Soon
Hero is readying the new Destini 125 scooter for India, which will likely be launched later this week. The scooter is expected to come with a more modern design, an upgraded engine, and a new reverse LCD with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation upon launch.

With these improvements, the new Destini 125 will likely range between 80,000 and Rs 85,000 (ex-showroom). It will rival the Suzuki Access 125, TVS Jupiter 125, and the Honda Activa 125.
