Ducati Streetfighter V4 S Launched in India at Rs 28 Lakh
Along with four engine power levels (Full, High, Medium, and Low), the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S features a new Wet Riding mode that reduces power output to 160bhp and slightly loosens suspension to improve traction on wet surfaces.
Ducati India has revealed the price of the anticipated Streetfighter V4 S ahead of its scheduled launch on March 12. The Italian bikemaker recently took to its official social media platforms to share the launch date. However, the updated model has already been listed on the brand's website for a price of Rs 28 lakh (ex-showroom). The all-new bike now comes with a new paint option, dubbed Grey Nero along with several added features. With an improved version, demand for this super-naked bike is expected to increase in our market. When it comes to rivals, the V4 S will fight off against the Triumph Speed Triple RS and the BMW S 1000 R. Let us take a deeper look at the potential characteristics of this all-new Ducati motorcycle in India.
New Ducati Streetfighter V4 S: Design
In 2021, the Italian carmaker introduced the Streetfighter V4 and V4 S in India, both compliant with BS6. The V-shaped LED DRLs along with the full LED headlights are now similar to those on the Panigale V4. The fuel tank is also identical to the Panigale V4 and as a result, the rider will have more support when braking and cornering. On top of that, the fuel tank now boasts a capacity of 16.5-litre, and the side covers have been modified to give it a sleeker appearance.
Better stability and precision are provided when negotiating curves and accelerating aggressively thanks to the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S's repositioned swingarm pivot, which is 4mm higher than earlier. By adding weight to the front end, the brand has also improved the weight distribution, assisting in smooth cornering.
New Ducati Streetfighter V4 S: Engine Specs
The powerful 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, which generates a massive 205bhp at 13,000rpm and 123Nm at 9,500rpm, powers the Streetfighter V4 S. According to the manufacturer, a small internal adjustment was made to the motor's operation to match the silencer outlet's larger diameter and lower exhaust back pressure. Additionally, the V4 S comes with a new lithium-ion battery as standard equipment. The wet weight of the model stands at 197.5 kg.
New Ducati Streetfighter V4 S: Electronic Aids and Hardware
Along with four engine power levels (Full, High, Medium, and Low), the V4 S features a new Wet Riding mode that reduces power output to 160bhp and slightly loosens suspension to improve traction on wet surfaces. Among the most important rider aids are wheelie control, traction control, and cornering ABS. The Panigale V4 and the Streetfighter both have the identical 5-inch TFT instrument console. It has updated visuals and a Track Evo display mode over the old instrument console.
Another standout feature of the Streetfighter V4 S is its semi-active Öhlins suspension system, which consists of a TTX36 monoshock at the back and an NIX30 43 mm USD fork. It also has an upgraded SmartEC 2.0 interface that makes it easier and faster to change the suspension's performance. Furthermore, the V4 S models come with Marchesini rims, which are made of forged aluminum alloys and aid in braking and acceleration by lowering unsprung mass.
