The launch of the EV will take place alongside the eighth-generation 5 Series sedan, as well as the Mini Cooper S and Countryman E models. The CE 04 was first showcased in the country in 2022 and is currently available for purchase in foreign markets with a price tag of USD 11,795 (about Rs 9.85 lakh). Being the first electric scooter from the house of BMW Motorrad in India, the CE 04 would have no direct competitors. BMW CE 04: Styling Cues
The maxi-style scooter has a low, elongated design with a front end that rises diagonally, a flat bench-style seat, and angular bodywork, accentuated by creases and full LED lighting. In terms of dimensions, the scooter stands at 2,285mm in length, 1,150mm in height, and 855mm in width. The optional comfort seat from BMW raises the seat height from 780mm to 800mm.
BMW CE 04: Battery Pack and Charging Details
The model is outfitted with a liquid-cooled Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Motor. The minimum power rating of this motor is 19.72bhp. The BMW CE 04 churns out 41.4bhp of maximum power at 4,900rpm and 61Nm of peak torque at 1,500rpm. The EV has a top speed limit of 120km/h, which is remarkable for an electric scooter. It accelerates quickly – it takes just 2.6 seconds to go from 0 to 50km/h. Moreover, the scooter comes with three riding modes: Road, Rain, and Eco.
The manufacturer states that a single charge may provide 130 kilometre of riding range. The battery pack needs about 4 hours and 20 minutes to fully charge from 0% to 100%, and 3 hours and 30 minutes to charge from 0% to 80%. Meanwhile, a fast charger will take around one hour and forty minutes to charge the device from 0% to 100% and one hour and five minutes to charge from 0% to 80%.
BMW CE 04: Features
When it comes to features, the BMW CE 04 has a 10.25-inch TFT colour screen with built-in navigation and connectivity, as well as performance data, range, and charging time. Other features include traction control, ABS, a Type-C charging outlet, and an electronic reverse function. Other optional features can be customised.

BMW CE 04: Hardware
The CE 04's cycle components consist of a single-sided swingarm with directly hinged suspension support at the back and a steel double-loop frame with a single-bridge telescopic fork at the front. It has 265mm disc brakes on both ends and is equipped with 15-inch wheels.
At Rs 11.25 lakh, BMW Motorrad India currently offers the C400 GT in the urban mobility market. The CE 04 will be offered alongside the C400 GT and is anticipated to cost around Rs 10 lakh. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures.
