BMW is set to launch its highly anticipated CE 02 electric scooter in India on October 1. BMW CE 02: Design and Features
On the design front, the BMW model will have a sleek, minimalist design with a flat, single-piece seat, an LED headlamp, a small visor, and a golden USD front fork. In terms of features, it will include a 3.5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, along with keyless ride, automatic stability control, an electric reverse gear, single-channel ABS, and USB-C charging.
BMW CE 02: Spec Details
The new BMW CE 02 has an air-cooled, current-excited synchronous motor. It is powered by two air-cooled lithium-ion batteries, each with a voltage of 48 V and an energy capacity of 1.96kWh. The model delivers 15bhp of maximum power and 55Nm of peak torque. In the dual-battery configuration, it is said to achieve a 108km range with a top speed of 95km/h. The scooter has a 745mm seat height and weighs 142 kg. Charging from 0% to 100% takes 5 hours and 12 minutes with a standard 0.9kW charger, while an optional 1.5kW fast charger reduces the time to 3 hours and 30 minutes.

BMW CE 02: Hardware
The India-spec CE 02 will feature a USD fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear for suspension. It will come with a 239mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc for braking. The scooter sports 14-inch alloy wheels, with 120/80 section front tyres and 150/70 section rear tyres. Additionally, two riding modes, Flow and Surf, will be available upon launch.
The scooter is expected to have a premium price tag, reflecting the brand's reputation. It will be positioned below the recently launched CE 04, with an estimated price range of Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh. The company has officially started accepting bookings for the CE 02.
