Nissan Magnite Facelift to Launch on October 4 in India: Here's What to Expect
The Nissan India is all set to launch the new Magnite on October 4 in India. It will get mild exterior and interior upgrades as well as additional features to stay in the game.
At the X-Trail unveiling event, Nissan India revealed its plans to launch four new models, along with the facelifted Magnite. The new models are an entry-level EV built on the CMF-AEV platform, a compact 5-seater SUV, a midsize 7-seater SUV, and a three-row compact MPV. The first one to be launched out of these 5 models is the Magnite facelift. That much, we all knew.
In a recent development, the company has disclosed the launch date of the updated Magnite – October 4, 2024. The existing Nissan Magnite went on sale in December 2020 in our market, and ever since then, the vehicle has remained largely untouched. But, that is going to change. Upon arrival, the upcoming Magnite will get exterior and interior upgrades as well as additional features to keep pace with rivals such as the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and the Kia Sonet.

To begin with, the updated Nissan Magnite will likely retain the same silhouette, albeit with a revised front bumper and grille as well as new LED daytime running lamps and alloy wheels. Inside, the vehicle could feature new upholstery, a bigger touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, in addition to keyless entry, an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, a JBL sound system, a reverse parking camera, and wireless charging. For more safety, the Magnite facelift should be equipped with six airbags as standard.
Nissan Magnite Facelift: Powertrain
Under the hood, the facelifted Nissan Magnite is expected to get the same engine options as before: a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (71bhp and 96Nm) and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine (99bhp and 160Nm). Expected transmission options are a 5-speed MT, a 5-speed AMT, and a CVT.

Nissan currently offers the Magnite in different configurations: XE, XL, XV, XV Premium, Kuro Edition, and Geza Edition. It is priced between 6 lakh and Rs 10.92 lakh (including benefits, ex-showroom), making it one of the most affordable mid-size SUVs in India. Expect the updated version to be priced slightly higher than the current version.
