The new EV9 will ride on the modular skateboard design, which the company calls E-GMP, just like nearly every other Hyundai and Kia EV. The EV9 will have the largest wheelbase possible on the E-GMP platform, 3,100mm. Moreover, this platform includes an 800V electrical architecture, allowing for up to 350kW of quick charging. The three-row electric vehicle, the Kia EV9, is anticipated to have a per-charge range of more than 540 kilometres. Mechanically, it is expected to get a variety of battery options from Kia. The EV9 is anticipated to provide between 197bhp and 395bhp of power, depending on the trim. The torque values will probably fall between 338Nm and 652Nm.
Reportedly, the EV9 will be the first Kia model to be available with the company's 'Automode' autonomous driving technology. Additionally, it will use feature-on-demand (FOD) and over-the-air software updates. In terms of styling, the latest teaser affirms that the EV9 will probably mirror the concept version, with L-shaped DRLs and pixel LED lights on the front grille. It will have boxy elements on the sides. Further, flush door handles will be available. According to reports, the EV9 will ride on 21-inch alloy wheels, and its lower variants will come with either 19- or 20-inch wheels. The rear will have vertical LED taillights and a small LED light bar on the tailgate. There is no update on the interior of the production-ready Kia EV9, but reportedly it will probably be similar to that of the concept.
